Liebster Award!

Thank you to Sister Hearts 7 for nominating me for the Liebster Award! Here are the questions they left me to answer!

1. What made you want to start a blog?
I've always loved makeup! For the longest time, I wasn't sure how to apply it correctly to my face and decide which products to use. After going on many beauty blogs, I decided to start testing out products and writing reviews on them. I just wanted to be able to give a thorough review that would be beneficial to others!

2. What social networking site do you spend the most time on?
That's a tough one! It would definitely have to be between twitter and instagram!

3. What is your favorite store to shop at?
For makeup, hands down, it would definitely be Ulta! As far as clothes go, I love Nordstrom and Brandy Melville.

4. What is your go-to beauty product?
My NARS creamy concealer! I'm telling you, it's amazing. Whenever I don't want to wear a lot of makeup, it's nice to put under my eyes and on my blemishes. It brightens up my face!

5. What is your favorite season of the year?
I love fall! Recently I've been getting so excited to wear warm clothes! Whether it's a big sweatshirt and yoga pants or a cute sweater and jeans, I love it! Oh, and I can't forget about the scarves and boots!

6. What is your favorite article of clothing?
I'm a sucker for leggings and yoga pants! They're just so comfortable! I've also been liking black leather leggings, which I have yet to buy!

7. What is your favorite go-to outfit?
You can never go wrong with a pair of cute jeans and a cardigan! Then again, I usually end up wearing leggings!

8. What celebrity best describes your style?
Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner. They are able to pull off anything they wear! I'm definitely not as fashionable as them, but their taste inspires me!

9. What is one thing you've always wanted to do/try, but haven't yet?
Move to LA!

10. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
London and Paris!

Review: Tarte BB Tinted Treatment

I was recently on the hunt to find a BB cream, when I came across this. While shopping at Ulta, I was recommended to try the Tarte BB Tinted Treatment, which claims to be a 12 hour primer, moisturizer, light foundation, anti-aging treatment and sunscreen. Immediately, it was mine.

When using this product, a little goes a long way! Just a small smudge on your hand will do the trick, even though it may not feel like it. Personally, I tend to apply a little bit more just for some extra coverage. While spreading this onto your face, the cream is silky and sets very nicely before you put your makeup on. Below, I am using the shade "light."

I definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a good BB cream. It's $34.00, which is a little bit more than I would normally spend on a primer, but this has showed me great results!

What's your favorite BB cream?

What Do You Want?

As a blogger, I strive to give you the best and most useful reviews on products, with complete honesty. Who wants to read bad reviews that persuade you into purchasing something that doesn't work well? No one!

Saying that, I would love to hear suggestions on what you would like to see on this blog.

For example, when I test products out, what would you like to see? Would you like to see what the product claims? The scent? My likes or dislikes? Please let me know!

You can comment any beauty products that you would like me to try, and I will be happy to give you an honest review. Also, anything that I can do to make my reviews more desirable for you, please let me know!

Thank you!

Review: NARS Creamy Concealer

Recently I've been searching for a good concealer to hide the bags under my eyes! I've been using the Bare Minerals Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20, which I have been waiting to run out of while looking for something different. I was recommended the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and I have not stopped using it since! I'm using this concealer in the shade "Vanilla," as I have very fair skin. This stays on all day, and doesn't leave any streaks, as to where my old one didn't!

I definitely recommend this product! I can't stress to you enough how amazing it works! It is $28.00, and although it is $8.00 more than the Bare Minerals Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20, this works beyond belief!

Review: Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15

I have been waiting to try this Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 for the longest time, and finally received it as a free gift when I purchased concealer at Sephora. I didn't want to spend $22.50 on the full size unless I was sure to love it.

I immediately applied it to my lips! What happened? It never left my sight after that! It does have a hint of lemon smell, and I figured I wouldn't like it, but this leaves my lips so soft and I hardly have to reapply it because it's so long lasting! I have been looking for a good lip treatment since my lips are always rough, and I'm happy to say this is now my new "go to" lip moisturizer! There are also a few different color options!

If you're not a Beauty Insider at Sephora yet, I recommend that you sign up! You get free gifts with certain purchases! Who doesn't love that?

How To: Properly Clean Your Makeup Brushes

Many people have different ways of cleaning their makeup brushes. I just wanted to show you how I care for mine, and why I like this routine the best.

Step 1: Take a piece of a paper towel and fold it in half, and then in half again.
Step 2: I love the MAC Brush Cleanser! It is $15.00 at the MAC store, both in stores and online! It is a good sized cleanser that will last months at a time. It is well worth the price!
Step 3 & 4: Take the brush you wish to clean and swirl it in a circular motion. Do this lightly! You don't want to press down too hard! The brush I chose to clean what my MAC 168 Large Angled Contour Brush, which I use for both my powder and my cheeks! Continue this process until there is no longer an excessive amount of makeup on your brush!

The best part about this routine is that your brushes will dry so fast! I have never come across another brush cleaner that will dry my brushes in just minutes!

Beauty Haul!

I'd like to start off this week's Beauty Haul with some things that I'm really excited to talk about! I recently made a trip to Ulta (my guilty pleasure) and purchased a few beauty products!

1. Pssssst! Instant Dry Shampoo (travel size) $2.99
This product has been recommended to me by many people before. I've heard nothing but good things about it and finally decided to try it when I saw my hair was getting greasy! I have come to the conclusion that I absolutely love this product. I don't have to to use it often, but when I do, it always comes in handy. The only down side to this is whenever I hold it, I nearly freeze my hand off! It's so cold!

This is definitely a "go to" product I will keep with me whenever I'm having a bad hair day!

2. Ulta Regular Instant Nail Polish Remover $3.99
This product is what I like to call a "miracle product." There's nothing worse than having to repurchase cotton balls and nail polish remover! All you have to do is slip your fingers through the center of the nail polish remover a few times and it's gone! It even has a removable dab so you can take nail polish off of your toes too! After using this product, I most definitely will not be going back to cotton balls and nail polish remover bottles!

3. Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo and Conditioner (travel size) $2.99 & $2.99
Both this shampoo and conditioner were near the check out area when I decided to pick it up at Ulta! I recently ran out of my Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner, which I usually use. I'm trying to find more of a heavy duty duo for my hair because it is very long and thick! I will continue to try other types of hair products, but this is definitely something good to use! Although, if you're like me, you'll need something much stronger!

4. Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Coconut Lime (travel size) $4.99
I have also heard great things about this product. I did not want to buy the full size because I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. My skin is very sensitive and I usually have to have non-scented body wash and lotions otherwise I will start itching everywhere! It's not fun! When I saw there was a travel size in this body scrub, I got so excited and quickly put it in my shopping cart!

This body scrub smells amazing! And it leaves my skin soft, too! It comes in a variety of products at Ulta such as lotionhand creambody wash and body butter.
